Miguel is a passionate agent of change with 20 years of experience working with socially and economically marginalized communities across Los Angeles, the United States, and Latin America. He’s a highly versatile professional adept at building cross-sectorial collaborative efforts at all levels, from grassroots community initiatives to complex policy between departments and institutions. Miguel is a social justice advocate whose programmatic and policy experience spans from communities in Los Angeles to international work in Honduras, Mexico, Guatemala and Jamaica.

Miguel is originally from Mexico City, the proud son of a cook and a housekeeper and a first generation college graduate with a degree from UCLA. He serves as co-chair of Southern California Latinx in Philanthropy and CEO of Hope Innovation Strategies.

Miguel lives in Rosemead, CA, has nine Godchildren and believes that soccer explains the world.
