Tony has a deep commitment and passion for addressing disparities affecting underserved communities. With over 15 years of experience working with mission-driven organizations, he’s developed and led strategies that interweave equity, human-centered design, marketing, and cross-sector collaboration.
Leaving engineering to pursue a role with the Latino Commission on AIDS under a CDC grant, he leveraged his skillset in lean, startup methodologies to provide capacity building and technical assistance to over 150 organizations across the US and territories, including nonprofits, health departments, government agencies, and funders. Simultaneously, he later led two health campaigns - National Latino AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD) and National Hispanic Hepatitis Awareness Day (NHHAD). During his tenure leading NLAAD, the White House recognized the campaign as a model for mobilizing communities and improving nationwide health outcomes. Most recently, he’s led marketing strategy with two national educational equity-focused organizations, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund and Teach For America, where he also led the development of an Innovation and Learning Lab.
When he’s not planning excursions that take him out of his comfort zone, he enjoys exploring Downtown LA with his English Bulldog, Bronx. Tony holds a BS from Stanford University in Product Design and completed the University of Pennsylvania's Executive Program in Social Impact Strategy.
